- Ryan is back on the bike (bicycle, not motorcycle - for now, anyway) and riding 11 miles each way for work. Keeps things interesting. Rainy days and accidental sleep-ins make things difficult, especially since he needs to work on his car, and I need mine to bus the kids to and from school. Still working out the kinks, but he loves the riding. It's good to see him excited about something. My fingers are crossed that he got all the crap (gear) he needed last year and we won't have to put so much money into it this time around.
- School is back in for the year. Kylie loves 1st grade so far, and Alex is doing splendidly in Kindergarten. Their classrooms are across the hall from one another, and they have lunch and recess together. More on school in a separate post.
- Peter is growing. He thinks it is really funny to bite me when he gets done nursing. I am not as amused as he is about it. He also thinks that pinching, grabbing, and spitting are games. He enjoys long walks, pina coladas, and pooping in clean diapers immediately after his last poopy diaper was changed. He wakes up twice each night wanting to nurse. Ridiculous! He's lucky he's cute.
- I am going to be legally changing my name in the near future. Because I am apparently a terrorist or some such nonsense. Stay tuned for that story. It's dumb.
- Daylight savings sucks. Only in Alaska should it ever be 9pm and still bright outside. Ever tried to get two kids to shut up and go to sleep (because they have school in the morning) while there is sunlight pouring in the window? Can I get an "Amen!"?
- And, most importantly, we want one of these. Just wanted to get that out there. Now, if anyone feels like telling us how stupid it would be to buy one because they are money pits and all that, do it now and then don't say anything to us when we actually buy one. Or else you're not invited to play on it with us. You know, when we do buy one. In ten years or so.

A Random Sampler
We have a few things we wanted to share even if I can't seem to harness the brainpower to craft a little narrative as glue. How does a list sound?
